Reflexology is a gentle, holistic therapy based on the principle that there are reflexes in the feet, hands and ears that correspond to every organ, gland and the entire body. It is a whole body treatment and not just a foot massage.
During treatment, the reflexes are stimulated by the Reflexologist applying gentle pressure with the thumbs and fingers, massaging and using mobilisation techniques. The reflexes then respond to this pressure and activate the body’s healing and cleansing mechanisms, resulting in homeostasis (internal balance) in the body.

The primary benefit of reflexology is to bring the patient to a deep state of relaxation, known as the alpha state and it is this profound state of relaxation that allows the body to release tension and pain.
